My web server crashed hard, took itself and it's hard drive out, completely. I didn't have a recent, or complete, backup of the web site either. I started backing it up to another server, then got busy and never finished it. Well, because of that I have had to rebuild most of the site, some of it completely from scratch, such as the Alternative Operating Systems site. So, needless to say, some links do not work.
<-- Alternative Operating Systems -->
Alternative Operating Systems has been updated with new links and a new look. My web server died, and the hard drive hard crashed, and I had only a partial and old backup. So I am rebuilding from scratch. I used to have information about Linux as well as the BSD's. Now I am concentrating on the BSD's only, as I am using on FreeBSD on 4 computers here at home, and like the BSD operating system much better than Linux.
What is BSD? It is an operating system from the UNIX family of operating systems - OS's used by governments, universitys, corporations, etc, on some of the biggest computers available.
So, if you have one of those new huge harddrives with most of it empty, why not give some space to FreeBSD, OpenBSD or NetBSD and see what else is available besides a flaky, crashing MS Windows?
AWANAAWANA - Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). AWANA is a church club for children from pre-school age up to high school. At our church, Cornerstone Community Church, AWANA is for children up to the 6th grade. We learn bible verses, play games, and have lots of fun. You can learn more about AWANA on this page. I also have a calendar with all of our special events listed.
I hope you like the new site.
